Innisfail township has a population of approx 8000, sits on the junction of two rivers, the North and South Johnstone, and is the centre of the Johnstone Shire containing approx 19000 people. Innisfail is on the Bruce Highway and the Palmerston Highway connects us to the west with Atherton Tablelands. Innisfail directly accesses over 101,000 sq kms of highly productive land growing sugar cane and tropical fruits, and to the west grain, tobacco, potatoes, mangoes, avocado and dairy products and many facets of aquaculture production are in operation, producing prawns and barramundi. Innisfail people are a resilient lot and have bounced back well since cyclone Larry in March 2006. Real estate prices have changed somewhat since the cyclone and looking forward to 2007, Innisfail will, as always, be a great place to live and invest.
